I re-listed this since I could not change the title, and closed my old thread. $2000 shipped CONUS
I love this bass but really think a 5 string is more in line with what I am playing now.
Straight Trades or Trades +/- cash are fine.
Trades: 5 String JJ or PJ, 4 String P or PJ
Sadowsky, Nordy, or Fender Custom Shop Reggie Hamilton 5 are high on my want list. Prefer 34" Scale and prefer rosewood, although I am open to maple.
Details:
34" scale
Ash body, quilted maple top
3 pc maple neck quartersawn
Rosewood board, pearl blocks, 24 Fret
Vol/Vol/passive tone (pull active/passive)/stacked treble and bass
Compound Radius: 14"-17"
Weight: Around 9 lbs
Thanks!

The only thing is that my Nordy is nearly on every 7 piece variety band gig I'm doing these days. With Fatstacks, Aggie OBP-3 pre, tiny banjo frets and SIT power nickels, it literally kills! If Carey would build a 6 (or a 7) string version of it, that would be the only thing that could nearly pry the Nordy away from me. Quote:

I thought about that as well. Is it 19mm spacing on your 7? | Almost positive its 18 - but its an A bridge so adjustable a bit. I'll throw in a brand new audere for it as well if you want to trade |

As for Bama's 6'er that is also crazy-tempting, I drooled over it when Jon took delivery on it.
I need to do this weekend's gigs, rehearsals and practicing with my blue Nordy before I make a hard decision, seriously both are tempting. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
