Traded - F/S F/T Roscoe SKB 3006
Here we go again, I wanted to hold on to it but its time to let go. F/S or F/TRoscoe SKB 3006 and great conditions with minor surface scratches from slapping and 2 or 3 small dings on the bottom edge of the bass. It was sent back to the Roscoe 8 months ago and had it adjusted, all electronics checked, cavity re shielded and ground’s reconnected. Action is low and it plays like a dream with that distinct killer Roscoe tone. I moving away from 35 scale basses, $1650 Split shipping / US only.
Have a Merry "Roscoe" Chritmas
The only trades I'm interested in are:
LEJ 5 or 6 string 34" scale with the newer electronics, classic or 24 fret model.
I accept Paypal E-Check and US Post money orders.
Spec's Are:
35' scale
18m String spacing
Quilt Maple top w/Cordovan finish
Swamp Ash body
3-Piece Maple/Purpleheart Neck
Spalted Purpleheart fingerboard
Bartolini 18v 3-band preamp P/P mid shift
Ivory nut
Hipshot/Roscoe "A" Style Bridge
Gotoh Tuners
Black Hardware
Elixer Strings
Heavy duty Roadrunner Gig Bag
Thx,

Thx for the vote of confidence, it is a great playing and sounding bass. The olny 35" scale I might keep is the white MTD 635 I had at the GTG.
Peace, JB Quote:

Note are well defined high high C to low B, Roscoes have one the best playing most comfortable 6 six string neck hands down, the action is low with no buzz. If it were a 34" scale it wouldn't be4 sale.
Thx

| | Cogito Ergo Idiot | | Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: SF Bay Area, CA | | I'm amazed this one is still available. VERY reasonable price on a top-notch instrument. I've got two SKB six-strings, and I gig them both regularly. Wonderful playing instruments - very well balanced, the string spacing is perfect, and the action is smoother than a bikini wax. FWIW, one of mine has a spalted purpleheart board, and the sonic properties mentioned above are spot-on.
To me, this is classic Roscoe - sweet top with a trans finish that's just gorgeous, ash body and Bart electronics. If I didn't already have two keepers - and especially at this price - I'd be going crazy right now. Good luck with the sale, and whoever lands this one is a lucky cat. |
