F/S F/T: Vintage Ibanez P-bass 1973?

Sign in to disble this ad
PRICE DROP $220.00 SHIPPED! Need the cash.

Hey all once again I've decided as cool as this is I just don't need it. I have 2 other p's that serve me well.

So what we have here is a vintage 1973 (we think, it could be as new as a '75) Ibanez P-copy. This is what is commonly referred to as a "lawsuit" P. I have played many good vintage Fenders and this is right up there with them. It's like an extension of your arm. All maple neck, no stripe, with serious plying time on it. The frets are thin and the edges are worn and rolled ever so sweetly. It has a very old set of EMG's in it and sounds amazing. The original bridge and knobs are on it however the saddles and screws were changed to make it adjustable as the originals were crap. The pickguard is not original. Lots of years and many gigs on this thing. Oh the stories it could tell.

I have been asking $300.00 shipped for it recently but for this weekend I'll go $250.00 shipped with the neck removed and packed in the same sturdy shipping box. It has a brand new set of Dunlop Rounds on it as well.

I need the cash to finish another project. However as always trade offers are always accepted. (A Jazz would fit the bill nicely.) Let's make two of us happy this weekend!

H

I'll check later tonight or in the morning. I got a gig tonight. I couldn't even guess though, as it feels like every Fender P I've ever played... but better. I'll let you know.

OK I'm done being wishy washy. I really need to sell this thing. My others play just as well. So once again the first $250.00 gets it shipped asap!

Thanks

Sorry Man,

It's 1 5/8" at the nut. I haven't a clue where a scale is around here. Still packed in a box from my most recent move I'm sure. Easy to play for hours on end. I'll try to find a way to weigh it. At this price though it might just be worth taking a chance.

Thanks Jesse! Yeah it sounds good and I gigged it twice this weekend but my others sound just as good. Funds are needed worse.
