F/S F/T Warmoth Fender Custom Quilted Maple P-Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale or potential trade is a custom made P-Bass. The body is a brand new Warmoth standard P-bass body in swampash with a quilted maple cap. The back side of the neck joint was contoured and the lower horn area was contoured for better access to the upper frets. It was finished in a natural oil finish. The neck is a standard USA Fender P-Bass neck. It is maple with rosewood fingerboard with standard specifications. The neck is straight with a very low setup and the truss rod works as it should. The pickups are standard Bartolini P-Bass pickups. There is a Bartolini two band preamp in it with active passive push/pull volume knob. Treble and bass controls. So you can get a pretty standard P-Bass sound in passive mode or P-Bass on steroids in active mode with the added advantage of tone shaping ability. Has a Hipshot A Style Bridge on it. Very comfortable weight at 9 pounds 2 ounces on my digital postal scale. Strap buttons are not installed as yet so you get to choose between standard or Dunlap strap locks or none at all. I have about $1200 invested in this project. Will sell it for $800 shipped in a new gigbag. I would also consider adding cash to it to trade for a Stingray Classic 4H. E-mail me with any questions or offers. Thanks for looking!

Great look. You never see P basses given the treatment. Now imagine this with an unlined fretless ebony board....

Yeah and string er up with some flats and you would have some serious vibe going. It could be arranged. Interested?
