F/S FENDER JAZZ VINTAGE 70'S REISSUE MIM 4 WITH MODS!

Hi TB,

For your consideration I have this wonderful MIM Fender Jazz with with Mods!
Aguilar AG 4J-70

Fans of the Jazz bass know that jazz bass pickups built by Fender in the 1970's sound very different from the pickups used in the 60's. The 70's versions have a brighter, more strident tone that is perfect for slapping, funk and R&B. They are also perfect for many rock styles. Examples of this sound range from the rock styling's of Geddy Lee to Marcus Miller's Jazz/Funk inflections.

Because pickup windings and materials varied so much throughout the 70's, we used several pickups from different years as our sonic models. Through a process of listening and prototyping we discovered the very small gradations of wire size and winding patterns that reproduce the bright and deep sound of the 70's jazz bass pickup.

The AG 4J-70 pickups complement any bass and are a great match with Aguilar's OBP on-board preamps.

Available as a calibrated neck and bridge pickup set (also available separately) for four string basses, the AG 4J-70 pickups are direct replacements for Jazz Bass style basses.

Specs:
Wire: Enamel, 43 gauge

Magnets: Alnico V

Cable: Single conductor, cloth covered
The Fender '70s Jazz Bass Guitar captures the real essence of that decade with striking cosmetics and a bright, full sound.
The original '70s Jazz Bass had a repositioned bridge pickup-moved closer to the bridge-and the look of big block inlays, neck binding, and bullet truss rod. Vintage-style alnico magnet Jazz Bass single-coil pickups make this Fender bass sound like its predecessors .The offset waist and ultra-slim neck make the '70 Jazz Bass more comfortable to play.

Fender '70s Jazz Bass Features
•White Fingerboard Binding
•White Pearloid Block Inlay
•Synthetic Bone Nut
•Vintage Styling
•Bullet Truss Rod Adjustment Nut
•4-Bolt Neck Plate
•Introduced 6/2008
The originals were widely regarded as the best funk basses of all time, and this new Fender reissue makes a great '70s classic bass guitar very comfortable and familiar.

Yes it is!!!!
Not sure as to the body wood as I got this from a fellow TBer! Weight per my cheap anolog bathroom scale is just under 9lbs. The Aggie pups do give the bass a very 70's vibe! I believe the pups alone are over $150.00 bucks alone! VVT are the knobs configuration.

Seriously thinking about parting out! But will try to sell as a whole. Someone is going to be very happy with this bass that depending on the angle in which is held is either a Green or blueish color.
