I am the second owner of this bass. This bass is an EXCELLENT bass! It is perfect for jazz, rock, and heavy metal. There are only a couple of minor scratches on the back but that is it. Overall, this bass is in excellent condition. The bass has been professionally set up and the frets are in like-new condition. The bass came stock with the EMG 40J pickups but I swapped out the stock preamp to a matching EMG BQC preamp which really opened it up and improved the sound ten times over.
This bass is essentially a jazz bass in that although the pickups look like humbuckers, they are actually single coils. Therefore, the sound is what you would expect out of a single-coil jazz bass with the exception that, because the pickups are EMG, they are DEAD QUIET and very hi-fi sounding. It has a great modern sound. The only reason I'm selling it is because I need to fund the purchase of a new amp.
The controls on the bass are: volume, blend, bass/treble stack, and sweepable mids stack.
The bass ships in the original Fernandes hardshell case.
YouTube has a video of Ed Friedland reviewing the bass, however this is the bass with the stock preamp and not the EMG BQC preamp that makes it sound even better.
