For those that may not know what the PLEK treatment is, here's a youtube vid that describes it... Very cool stuff... A local shop (Mike Lull) that does this charges $250 for the treatment!

Also, thanks 404. I agree that the PLEK is very cool. Completely removes any and all imperfections in the frets. No more high frets - low frets or bad overtones. I have done this on 4 basses now, and each one has been noticeably better after the treatment.

I like the look of the bass (the ashtray and the Audere did it). I have a couple of short scaletrade possibilities, but both are at a higher price point. I
have a SS Fender jazz with bartoline pups and preamp (with mid range control). A killer bass, but I am playing others. And I have Stu Hamm SS with three pups. Great bass, but not really my sound. Both in great condition. Any interest?

OK. here are the pics of the front and back of the headstock.

Back of the bass and small spot on the back, where your forearm crosses. There are a few scratches and a couple of dings around that same spot on the back. Nothing too substantial as you can see.
