MTD Z5 Natural Gloss
I know I said I would never sell this, but my MTD 535 gas has gotten too much to handle. The bass is in mint condition with no wear at all. It was only played in my smoke free home for a few months. Anyway here you go.....
MTD Z5 Natural Gloss
Body wood: Mahogany
Top Wood: Burl Maple
Neck: Maple
Fretboard: Rosewood
Pickups: Nordstrand DC5's
Preamp: Audere 4 Band w/ Z-Mode Switch
Bridge: Hipshot A
Zero Nut: Yes Buzz Feiten: Yes
Case: Gator Gig Bag
The pickups are EACH wired with a switch that will allow them to be placed in Parallel, Single Coil, or Series. There is also a switch that will allow you to switch the Audere 4 band preamp to Hi, Mid, or Lo impedance. The options are limitless.
With all the upgrades (upgrades installed by Pete Skjold) I paid $1700 for the bass (not including $65 for the case). Asking $1200 shipped

| | | | Looks great. I'm toying with the idea of buying an MTD. But I'm not sure I I want the American or Korean model. How does it sound with those pickups?
Peace

Bryan | The pickups IMO really bring out the character of the bass. Just by switching the pickups from series to parallel I can go from a nice finger tone to a nice slap tone. That doesn't include adjusting the 4 band preamp, or Z-mode switch. Add the Audere 4 band, and it's endless possibilities. Jazz bass, P bass, MM it's all there.

Also, I like the trans. red cherry gloss finish better.
