| F/S Lakland 44-94 fretless Looking to sell this bass outright, no trades please.
Bass was made in 2001. I think this may have been a bass that Austin luthier Ed Reynolds had worked on. The previous owner made the suggestion about Ed working on this bass, and I just want to be as forthright as I can. I don`t know of his affiliation with Lakland, but he has done mods to many Laklands in the Austin area. Usually his mods were to channel the bodies to reduce weight. This bass is right at 8 Lbs. and plays wonderful! There is a date on the neck heel with, what I guess is someones intitial`s from Lakland. The preamp is a 918 Bartollini two EQ, highs and lows. The fingerboard is ebony with maple lines and birdseye maple position markers. The only true blemish is the corner of the headstock by the "E" tuner and near the nut. The body has a AAAAA quilted maple top with an ash back. The finish looks to be a two tone sunburst untill it`s in bright light, or a flash from a camera hits it, none the less, it looks awsome.
The bass gets that classic fretless mwaa, or however it`s spelled, with low string height. Comes with a non original beat up hard case. Asking $1,600 OBO. Please ask any questions.
