This is such a nice bass I thought I would never sell it but here it goes. I am selling it because I really don't play enough to justify two 5 String basses and I am more comfortable on my Musicman Classic 5.

Very light weight Marcus Miller V Jazz Bass. Probably right at or just under 9lbs. Obp-3SK preamp installed. Pictures shown are with the stock preamp. This bass plays and sounds amazing. Near mint condition. Comes with the original hard case, manual, & hang tags. The rest of the stuff (straps, cable, polish cloth are long gone).

$old.

bump for my old bass. this thing rocks! The Aggie pre really opens it up. It's a much better pre than the stock pre, IMO of course. I totally regret selling this one.

Zach I really don't want to let it go but cant really justify having it. I think I may regret this as well. I am really tossing the fence with this.

I feel ya. I'm still rocking the black J5, and it's great...but that Marcus V is something else. For an active J5, you can't beat it...and at this price, you're right, it won't be around long. Good luck with the sale.

Fender doesn't have much info on the specs

Do you happen to have a photo of what the bass looks like now with the Aggie pre?

I totally forgot I put the sadowsky style knobs on there. That right there is sexy.

FYI to any potential buyers...the switch is a mid frequency select switch. IIRC..the control layout is v/v/m/ (t/b stacked), mid select switch. correct me if I'm not remembering accurately.

unless it's been changed, the first volume pot was wired with a push/pull to go passive. I got the Aggie pre pre-wired from berstbassgear.com wired as such:

1 Aguilar OBP3 Preamp - Volpp - Vol - Mid - Treb/Bass Stack - Mid Selector Switch - Prewired 9V

Thanks Zach. It is still the same. It is so nice I would never change it. Having more time to think about it I may hang on to it. Do you still have the other bass?
