F/S: Mike Lull M4V-Like New!

SOLD!

I'm putting my practically brand new Mike Lull M4V up for sale. I had Mike make this bass for me when I left Seattle for the Bay Area in October 2009. It has never been gigged and only brought to several rehearsals outside my home. Other than being several months old, it is in perfect condition.

You all know how great Mike's basses are and this bass lives up to his reputation in all ways. It has a great vintage J-bass feel and vibe, including an aggressive single coil tone. The VTC is awesome for getting that true vintage J-bass sound, particularly when favoring the bridge pickup. Weighs just over 7.5 lbs. Will ship with a beautiful G&G hard shell case that is also in perfect condition.

I'm reluctantly selling the bass to help pay for the purchase of my new upright. I made the decision that if any equipment is not getting regular play, it has to go. Electrically, I mostly play my Lakland and Rob Allen, so the M4V has to go.

Asking $1450 shipped and insured CONUS. Paypal only-no trades please. I paid over $2100 for the bass just a few months ago, so my loss is your joy.

Here are the specs on the bass:

Swamp Ash body-natural finish
Graphite reinforced Maple neck
Birdseye Maple fingerboard
Contoured Neck Heal
34" Scale length
21 frets
12" radius fingerboard
1 -1/2" nut width
Bone nut
Chrome hardware
Hipshot Ultralite tuners
Vintage style pick-guard & control plate
Bartolini Active tone circuit
Lindy Fralin single coil pickups
Aluminum bridge

Thanks for looking!

Love the bass. Just curious, is the bridge pickup in the 60's or 70's position?

Best of luck.

Justin

Hi Justin:

Thanks for the question-I would say closer to the 70s position, particularly considering the bass' tone-more Marcus Miller than older sounding. If I remember correctly, when I asked Mike the same question, he said that the bridge pickup is somewhat in between both of those positions. Hope that helps. Ted
