F/S Modulus Quantum 4 & Quantum 6 Sweetspot (price drop!)

Sign in to disble this ad
I'll describe both basses and then post pictures later.

Up first:

2000 Modulus Quantum 4
Chechen Top and Fingerboard (truss rod)
Satin neck, satin finish on body
EMG Pickups
3 band eq with sweepable mids
ohsc

couple little dings here and there, i'll post photos. the volume pot is a little scratchy and should probably be replaced. it works fine as long as the volume is turned all the way up. the case has taken a hit or two but that's what cases are for.

i would like $1099 Shipping included. (paypal) i hope you agree but i'm open to offers.

Up second:

1999 Modulus Quantum 6 Sweet Spot
Purpleheart top and Chechen fingerboard (truss rod)
Gloss neck, gloss finish on body
Lane Poor Pickup!
3 band Bartolini pre
ohsc

QUANTUM 6 SWEET SPOT IS SOLD!!

both of these basses are absolute tone monsters.

the 4 string can do it all and was my main gigging bass until two years ago. it's been sitting around since then. i've moved back to 34" scale basses and passive tones. it really deserves to get out more.

the 6 string pains me the most... mainly because i have not even come close to tapping the potential. it's also very beautiful. the sound is amazing. i was thinking about making the bass active/passive because i heard the Lane Poor can get pretty gnarly when sent straight to the jack. that's a project that never happened. oh well. i also have no use for a 6 string bass, even if i could play it.

Quantum 6 Sweet Spot

tiny shallow ding in the middle of the neck at the 9th fret. does NOT affect playability.

That 6er is TEMPTING and priced pretty good (as is the 4)!!! It's rare to see Moduli with the LPs AND a truss rod. That means it was one of the last basss offered with factory LPs and one of the first offered with a truss rod, right?

i'm not sure when the truss rod started... '97ish? i do know that the Lane Poors came off the option list not long after i ordered the 6. i think i almost ordered them with the 4, but at the last minute decided to go economy. i even ordered the EMGs with the two band eq, but they threw in the three band for the heck of it....

changed the description to better describe the volume pots. by "wonky" i meant a little bit scratchy. they both work fine if the volume is all the way up.

both of these basses are sweeties. i showed pictures of the little dings just in the interest of full disclosure. however, there isn't anything you would notice from 8 inches away...

'99 was the last year of LP and the first of truss rods... so 99 is the year of the best modulus in my opinion.

I just dropped $100 off the price for each.

i've also put together a package deal. buy both for $2200 shipping included.

for $2200 you can pick up the last two basses you may ever need. think about that!!!
