a few hundred dollars for what? more like $25 for a new volume pot... which is why it's priced so low to begin with.
i realize the nicks look hideous in the photos, but those were taken in the interest of full disclosure. none of them are visible from 8 inches away, and with the exception of the one on the headstock, none are visible when looking at the front of the bass.
the bridge discolored within the first 6 months. it gives street cred, tho... right?
the fretboard has been well maintained and the frets are in excellent condition with absolutely NO issues.
this bass is gorgeous. i only wish i had dusted and polished it before i snapped the photos. |

It wouldn't be right for me to just leave that big of a nick alone either.

Those pics don't do this bass justice at all...if you saw the bass in person, you wouldn't even care about the nicks...which are small anyway...just wish we could have figured something out!!
Free Christmas bump!!!!!! |

For $50 more there is one with lane poors in it, which I'm pretty sure I could sell to offset that $50. I want to use EMG's anyway
Its going to be between 150 and 200 (I'm making an educated guess) to get the nick out. On CF a nick like that is going to just keep getting larger over time unless you fix it.
Its a fair offer, IMO. Doesn't want to take it, I'm not going to sweat it.

tiny, tiny nick in the headstock has been there for a long time. it's not getting bigger. it's not even a nick, more like a flake... kinda like a how your index finger looks right before the last of your callous falls away.
come all ye modulus faithful and spend your Christmas bonus or stocking money on this wonderful bass.... |

Having had an arsenal of Modulus basses before a life difficulty forced me to sell, I can safely say that this is a good buy. That nic is just a flake of the laquer they use to overspray the carbon fiber. All you need is a $2 dollar bottle of gloss clear nail polish and dab it on, Done. Did it before on a VJ I had that had a nick on the neck. nic in carbon fiber gets bigger over time? jackansi you obviously do not know what the hell you are talking about !
Bump for a sweet bass and a sweet price. Anyone notice how Modulus basses have secured a much higher resale lately. Geez !! |

I'm the guy who copped Chunkstyle's Q6SS, and totally appreciate his full-disclosure approach to selling these instruments. And what's with running someone's product down via public postings - isn't the PM option the proper vehicle for negotiating on price?
Scheesh! |
