In fairness, this bass belongs to a guitarist friend of mine, who bought it in 1983 in a pawn shop, and then promptly forgot about it in his closet, until late last year.
It's 100% original, original pots, caps, even the solder, and OHSC. Serial number is 000880. Thoroughly checked out, set up, and cleaned about a month ago - over $130 worth of setup, done at AL&M here in Va Beach.
At the moment, these pics are what I've got, but lemme tell you, this bass is the real deal - held it in my hands and stood in awe of the "vintagey goodness".
Many, many more pics available for serious buyers, and seriously interested locals are encouraged to check it out in person. $2300 (PayPal okay) shipped and insured in OHSC.
Thanks!

| | | | I played a 70's EB-3 yesterday and it KILLED. The short scale was amazingly easy to play and it sounded HUGE. Bigger than any of the other basses at the shop (60's Hofner, 70's Ric, L-2000). It had light gauge flats on it and was effortless to play.
Anyone looking for a great vintage piece, should look no further than this bass. |
