Late 70s Fender neck fitted to late 80s body.
Neck fits snug in the pocket but there's a slight gab at the bass of the neck and body [see photo], Could be shimmed if it bothered you but plays great & feels sturdy.
Hipshot Drop D tuners
Very light -- 7.5lbs!
Comes with Fender gig bag
$950 No Trades!

| | May The FORCE Be With YOU | | Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Middle Tennessee | | | Can you post a picture of the body without the pick-guard? I don't recall (although I could be wrong) Fender making a 2 tone Tobacco Sunburst in the later 1970's. Also do you have the original neck plate with the big "F" on it? I am interested in your bass, just like to know all I can about a bass before jumping in.
Nice color.

Nice color. | I was wondering about that burst too. Might be just the photos, but it doesn't look very late '70s to me either.
Not trying to suggest the seller is being dishonest, by the way - just like the previous poster, want all the info. Very cool P.

Also, I don't have the original Fender neck plate on this bass.
Here's the link to the post from the TB'r I bought the body from, if you have any more questions she might be able to help. FS: Precision bass parts - neck, body, pickup |

So is the price still the same, given that difference in the body?

| | | | You will probably be better off parting this out.
Also, the neck is most likely an '80-'82. You should post a pic of the neck code.
