F/S PEAVEY USA CIRRUS 5 - Peacock Blue - MINT

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale is my Peavey USA Cirrus 5 in peacock blue. I am the original owner. It is in immaculate condition, not a scratch, not a ding, not a dent with VERY few hours of play on it - absolutely NO fret-wear. This was my back-up bass (to my USA Cirrus in Ruby Red) and I rarely played it. It was professionally set up with brand new DR HighBeams a few months ago. Serial # 11056380, Mahagony body, flamed maple top, 5 piece maple/bubinga neck through the body, pau ferro fretboard, gold hardware including Dunlop strap locks and original case in like new condition.

Available in Peacock Blue and Ruby Red
35 inch scale
Neck-thru-body
Pau Ferro fretboard
Maple top - alder body with multi-process hand staining
Gloss finish on body and headstock
2 VFL™ active pickups
Active 3-band EQ with +/- 10 dB boost/cut
Gold hardware
Milled ABM™ multi-adjustable bridge
Graphite reinforced neck with dual expanding truss rod
Case included

This is a flat-out beautiful bass with exceptional tonal quality similar to Ken Smith basses. I hate to see her go, but I just got my Custom Shop Cirrus 5 and the Ruby Red has become my back-up. You will not find a used one in better condition.

$1000 shipped continental US only.

Thanks for looking.

I own this exact bass with a maple board. It might just be my "house is on fire, only time to grab one" bass.

Beautiful! One day ... Oh yes, one day!
(unfortunately not today)

For future reference ... do you mind telling me what the string spacing is (I can't find that info anywhere!)

As much as I'd like to entertain trades, I'm really more interested in (and in need of) cash at the moment. Thanks for the interest.

Used Cirrus basses are the best values a bass player can buy!

Not a single bass here under 1500 bucks:
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/navig...y+cirrus&Nty=1

Yet somehow, people can only ask a cheap price like this for a mint Cirrus.

Great bass, great deal!

I have the same bass and it has cured all GAS....for now. I love the Cirrus. If I had the $$ I would buy a second and a third.

Good Luck with the sale.

The trans colors do not photo correctly.. they're designed for stage lighting.. stunning under the lights.

Spacing... 17? Don't quote me.. it's narrower than many freak botiques.. they're wide enough to slap.

Cirrus always sound great passive DI to a board.

Thursday Bump.

I agree with the above post; I split my signal DI / Rig live and in the studio.

String spacing is 17.5 at the nut which is just right for me.

I may be slow to respond to PM's over the week-end; I have to mask all traces of humanity from my very existence for the next few days in an attempt to decieve the wiley, wary and ever elusive grand daddy Odocoileus virginianus.

The Blue, The Red and the Rig

As requested, here is a shot of the Peacock Blue that is for sale in this thread, my Ruby Red which was my main player and my rig. This was taken after I ordered, but before I received the custom which is now my main bass.

The second is a shot of the blue and red together.

I had a PM requesting pix of the back of the bass, so here they are. There is NO rash, not a scratch, and the protective plastic film is still on the back plates!
