Hello,
I've been hit with some major bills, and I need some cash. I've done some soul searching I think I'm going to put up my Sadowsky Will Lee for sale.
I purchased the bass on May 27th of this year, brand new. Everything that came with the new bass (hardshell case, case candy, warranty's etc. ) will go to the new owner.
The only reason I'm selling this bass is that it is my most valuable. I have two other Sadowsky's, so I'll live (at least that's what I'm telling myself.)
The bass is Black Pearl, so it has a subtle sparkle type finish to it which I have tried to capture in these pictures. Weighs in at 7.85 lbs. Single coil pickups...etc etc...you can read the specs on the Sadowsky website. http://www.sadowsky.com/instruments/will_lee_model.html Price is 3785.00 That's about 200+ dollars off what a new one will run you, so if your thinking of getting one, maybe you can save yourself some bucks.
No dings, dents, scratches, or bruises I promise...I baby my stuff, and I don't play with a pick...the bass still has the protective plastic by the pickups and on the rear.
If my financial situation resolves itself, I will yank the ad, as I love this bass. It has only seen three gigs, but wow. The amount of compliments I get about the tone from fellow musicians speaks volume about the level of quality Roger and crew put into all their basses. Any questions, feel free to PM me. I may be interested in a trade (4 string only) for a lesser valued bass and cash on your end.

Is it active or passive? Does it have a switch for changing from active to passive? |

The knobs are set up as follows:
Volume, Pan, VTC control (pull up to defeat preamp) and a stacked Bass and Treble Boost. The Toggle switch controls the mid range boost. The mid range boost is set from the back of the control cavity, in a "set it and forget it" fashion. Check out the link here: http://www.sadowsky.com/pop/wl_backplate.html
For those who don't know, VTC=Variable Tone Control. This allows you to roll off some of the treble to give you a nice old school tone should you desire. |

Actually, VTC stands for "Vintage Tone Control"

It kills me to let her go, but sometimes you have to do, what you have to do.. |

I would like to be as flexible as possible, so I will accept partial trades on this bass. Just let me know what you have. Not really in need of effects and pedal. (unless you have a mint Akai Deep Impact pedal.)
I'm thinking only 4 stringers as far as basses go. Special love for Sadowsky's with a maple board, but I will entertain others.
I'm pretty set with amps and cabs, but feel free to run stuff by me. Trades will probably have to involve cash on your end. So long as both parties are satisfied...thanks |

I'm going to keep this posted. If someone wants to make an offer, I will entertain it. If you have a nice bass you'd like to trade, with or without money, I'm all ears, but I'm really digging this bass and its going to have to grab my attention.
Examples.
Sadowsky (especially Ash/Maple) Metro's or NYC's
F bass VF4's
Vintage Fenders
Alleva Coppolo's
Nordy
etc...you get the picture
Thanks! |

| | | I guess this would interest you, as I am very interested in your bass. Cash in your way too, ofcourse. PM for further details. Cheers!!!:
it's a '77 Jazz, all original ( without ashtrays unfortunately...) but with orig.case. pretty light, not of those heavy ash 70s basses. a tone monster and very playable!
I am from Sarajevo,Bosnia but have lots of friends and relatives comin in/out USA so we can arrange any deal.
