I also have a 5 string Jazz SX. I want to put bartolini pups in mine as well. I was just more curious as to what model pups you put in it, so I can start hunting them down. Then I realized this was a classified thread. Couldn't delete my post on my iphone. Replaced it with a '.' I'd be stoked if you could tell me the PUP model you installed. You can PM me if you like. Maki: They are the 59J "classic bass" ones, the ones with the deepest bottom end. The Bart Preamp makes these sing even better. I was comparing tone with a high end custom boutique fretless and there isn't much difference in tone. This thing is amazing.
