F/S Warwick Corvette 5

2001 German made Warwick Corvette 5-string. All original parts. Condition: 9.5/10. Active electronics w/ push/pull active/passive knob. Capable of very low action while remaining clean sounding. Embodies the famous "warwick growl". Back of the headstock is signed by Victor Wooten.

I picked this bass out of the lot because of the smoothness of the neck and its superior wood grain pattern to its peers. Sad to see this one go, but unfortunately i'd rather pay rent this month!

Looking for $650. Includes warwick surface finisher and Levy's gig bag.

Bass is in NYC. Will post more pictures.[ATTACH]Click image for larger version

B-string slot is filed a bit wider to accommodate the Elixers that are on there currently. All strings will still fit.Click image for larger version

Approx. 8 lbs. The body is very solid despite feeling small.

How is the action on this bass? Also, how straight is the neck? Is there any signs of warping? Thanks!

The action is currently quite low. Perfect for tapping and chordal stuff up high on the neck. There is no sign of warping, but that said, it hasnt been set up in a long time. I've got a great guy in the city who does amazing set ups for a small fee.

Sure about that weight?
Mine were both over 12 lbs.
If this one is 8 I'm interested

IF it's an Ash body 8 - 9 Lbs would be about right, but it looks rather Bubingish from here...

This one looks like bubinga to me... The bubinga 4 string I had was about 10-11 lbs on bathroom scale... 8 lbs would be a really light bubinga one !!

That's a nice piece of wood anyway... the top wood grain is awesome !!

+1 I have fretless Corvette 5 exactly like this one, bubinga body and it is 10.4 lbs. However, it has good ergonomy, and sits very well on the body. The low B is to die for! Great basses!

Hey fellow TBers. Sorry for the lack of response on here. A friend at the NYC Warwick Custom Shop recently took in the bass to sell on consignment. Unfortunately, for the price he is asking, it hasn't sold thus far. FORTUNATELY he did give the bass a professional set up, a set of new strings, and a new input jack replacing the original that he found was about to become unreliable, unbeknownst to me. All in all, about $200 worth of work by his estimate.

This bass is still for sale at $650, not including shipping.

In response to all the weight talk, yes my scale was inaccurate and the bass is more in the 10-11 lb range. Anyone still interested??
