F/S F/T YAMAHA BB800 BLUE JEAN Stain/White pguard/PJ combo/$475 SHIPPED W/CASE

I'm pretty new to TB but not to that other place where people buy and sell stuff. I have a 100% rating with well over 100 transactions. Enough of that!

BB800 somewhere around late 70's to mid 80's. It was YAMAHA's Hayday. This one sounds similar to a BB2000 but has a little more "in your face sound" with the bolt on/Rosewood combination. Blending the pickups also gets a Fender Jazz vibe to it also. And of course you still get the KILLER P BASS sound from the front p/u.

NEW PRICE IS $475. ALSO INCLUDED WILL BE AN SKB BASS CASE IN GOOD CONDITION.

I CAN EMAIL ADDITIONAL PICS

I have a sweet and unique bass for sale. I love the old Yami's and I did something cool with this one. Don't be fooled. It's just not for show. It delivers the goods too. Here's what it has:

Blue Jean stain with pockets done by artist Robina Rosecja. This lady has won quite a few artist awards with her paintings.
Yes, it has a back pocket too.

Specs are.
Alder body/maple neck/Rosewood fingerboard
Original Yamaha P pickup/Fender Noiseless J Pickup
Volume/EMG bass & treble stack/ 2nd Volume
Hipshot tuners
Yamaha heavy duty original bridge
Quick change battery compartment.
Custom pickguard

The sand thru spots on the bass are intentional although they too are covered by laquer as is the whole body. I wanted it to be "Tshirt and Jeans" complete with represented holes showing skin.
I don't have a scale, so I can't weigh it at the time.

Thanks for the bump. I wish I could do the bass justice with the pics. Maybe I can figure out how to get a soundbyte in here to really show it's true essence. I'll try tomorrow. Oh by the way it has:

Alder Body
Rosewood fingerboard
P bass feel to the neck "Beefy" not Bulky.

LOVE YAMAHA'S!

Great Bass!! This is one fine playing and extremely beautiful instruments! Got to admire and play it last weekend. The quality of the 80's Yamaha's is unmatched; this one keeps the original flavor, but has just the right mods to bring out the total package........and by the way Halegroove is the finest bass player I have ever heard play live........except for J Pattitucci and Victor Wooten!!!

PS It's halftime............Go Big Blue!!!

I updated a pic. I hope I can convey this is a great instrument from some of Yamaha's best years and era. These are getting harder to find in good shape not to mention the upgrades.
