I have a gold bn5 and at the best of george's memory there are only 2 fbasses this color...This is the story of this bass....There was a store called bass boutique.in new york..the owner in 2001 was jimmy coppolo...it was sold out of this store....these were called the nyc model they had a little different neck ...but its a bn5 just the same....I LOVE THIS BASS..and it really blows im having to do this ...i have a trade offer on this bass for a mesa m6 with a powerhouse 1x15.a brand new never played pair....heres the reason why im selling ...i have had so many bass amps because it was what i had to settle with at the time ......im done with it ..its time to splurge...i want a nice amp ...now lets get to the condition of this bass ..I guess these basses the early ones have had some issues with finish cracks ...mine did too ...there are several finish cracks just in the clear coat..not in the wood...anyway having said that it plays like a dream ...action tone ,feel is way nicer than anything i have played to date///this is what im after ...im not looking for junk....everyone keeps telling mw i need a mesa ...idk
