F/S F/T GORGEOUS Quilted Maple ABG $350 shipped

Sign in to disble this ad
You know the story, more GAS than cash

This is a no issues, visually stunning, great playing/sounding bass. It truly pains me to let it go,but I prefer the 34"scale of my other ABG(and it was a gift from the Mrs.),and I can't justify keeping two. $350 shipped in a HSC..or trade for ???

I'm just looking for something new to play with...I'd like to throw a P/J into the mix again,I love FrankenBasses, old Jap copies, projects, loaded bodies, and all sorts of other stuff I don't know I need yet I'd love to work a +$ deal for a GK MB combo, but won't hold my breath..
The Specs..
Michael Kelly 4str Acoustic/Electric Bass ,32.25"scale,MIK
AAA+ Quilted Maple top/sides/back/matched(veneered)headstock,Nat. honey finish,absolutely stunning!
Blocked and Bound 22fret Mahogany(i think)neck w/dark Rosewood 'Board. Very straight-grained with nice,straight,full length striping,rolled frets,1 5/8 nut
Green/Blue Abalone Blocks,Rosette, and Purling..contrasts beautifully with the finish!
Creme binding on the body, neck, and headstock
Rosewood string-thru bridge..no bridge pins
Nameless Pearloid/Gold Y mini tuners,closed back,work perfectly
Nameless 4 band 9v EQ w/low batt light that actually sounds way better than the Fishman PrefixPlus that I was going to replace it with. This pre gets way loud before feedback, the EQ is very articulate.I've gigged it in a few full-on band shows..
Only pic I have right now,I'll get more up soon..

The only blem at all is a scuff on the curve of upper 'horn'. Noticeable, but easily overlooked.Flawless except for that. It was there when I got it,I've babied the crap outta this thing..
Being aware of occasional issues with some imports,I must stress that this is a high quality build that exceeds the norm.I've never seen another like it,and I've played other M.K.'s,but they didn't measure up..

I think that about covers it,PM me if interested..

Thanks!

some cool offers..And to answer a couple questions..

Yes,I've played it with standard rounds and it sounds like a really big acoustic guitar, bright and clear..

No pick scratches,I only use my fingers..

I'm not the original owner(picked it up here a couple yrs ago)so I don't know if it was a 'special order',but I have searched and couldn't find another like it.

Yes,real Abalone inlays,not stickers

And,as stated,no issues. The only problem I've had is my banana hands are used to a 34"scale,and they tend to hit some wrong notes unless I'm staring at the fretboard
