I'm just getting an idea on what's out there for me on this.
It's a 1976 Rickenbacker 4001. Hasn't been touched in at least 15 years, been in it's hard case in a closet. As you can see from the pics...

it's been modded all over the place. I'm not quite sure what the guy was going for, but to each their own I suppose.
Aftermarket list:
Tuners
neck pickup to a humbucker
electronics change
added bartolini at bridge
Badass 2 bridge
awkward tossed on thumbrest (removed in one pic, I feel looks better, but leaves an unfortunate hole)
It's got a warm yet crisp sound to it. not muddy, but not too bright. I haven't had a chance to play it with a band yet to hear how it cuts through. However, it won't be too bad to put back to normal if that what you'd like to do. I, personally feel the electronics could be redone, but didn't want to do it until I decided if I wanted to keep this configuration or return it to normal.
I do like this bass, but it's not one I see me playing often. I mainly play a 5 string. I like having a 4 string though, so nearly any trades are up my ally. I'm not too fond of Ibanez or Schecter basses. But curious what is out there that people might want to give up in trade.
The case is old as well, kinda beat up, but comes with it even if only to help with shipping safely.
Thanks for looking and just let me know about questions, comment, offers and everything
