F/T Modulus Q5 (or other bass) for Modulus Flea/FU 5

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

I have several basses up for possible trade.

1) An early generation Warrior 5 string.
2) Modulus Q5 "20th Anniversary" model
3) Modulus Genesis 5 String
4) Fender MIA Jazz 5 String

My goal is to find a Modulus Flea (or Funk Unlimited) 5 string. I would also consider a Zon 5 string too. Cash to/from depending upon relative value of the basses.

Contact me with interest.

Thanks!

Will post pics later today.

The Q5 has a number of chips/dings on the headstock, but the rest of the bass is in great shape.

The Genesis is very clean - limited signs of gigging.

The Warrior is clean - good shape for an older Warrior.

A Zon VB5 would be a dream acquisition too....

Yes, that is the same bass.

Modulus Q5 20th Anniversary

I ended up buying two other Q5's and a Genesis within about a 2 month span. Love them all, but can't keep them all.

While I've never played one, I'm infatuated with the concept of the Zon VB5 - so if you have one, please let me know your thoughts (especially if you want to trade). My favorite bass of all time is my Steinberger XP2. Carbon/graphite neck with a wood body - stable as a rock, fabulous tone (liked it much better than my L2). Unfortunately, its not a 5 string. So, my quest for a suitable replacement continues. At present, my Modulus Flea 5 is the front runner. The Q5's feel great, but the 35" scale is just slightly outside my comfort zone.

Sorry for being late with pics. They are coming.... Meantime, you can see the Q5 at the link above.

Genesis Pics, Warrior & Genesis Specs

Sorry for the delayed responses

Genesis Specs:

19mm spacing
35" Scale
Bartolini Pickups
Three Band Bartolini Electronics (NS2TMB)

Here is a link to Genesis pictures: https://picasaweb.google.com/mcintos...eat=directlink

The pics point out a couple of dings on the bottom of the bass and along the edge. There are swirls and some hard-to-capture scratches on the upper horn.

Warrior Specs:

Spacing: 18.25 mm
34" Scale
Basslines Pickup
Not sure what electronics - added a picture of the controls cavity:

Perhaps someone out there could tell us what electronics these are....

Going to lock this thread. Acquired both a Zon and Flea. Will post separate threads to sell each bass.
