I really like this bass, but then again I'm a gear whore and I want to try something new. Modulus Q5 Wide, specs:
*Alder body.
*5A Flamed Maple top.
*Chechen board.
*Bartolini Pickups.
*Aguilar OBP-1 preamp.
*Dunlop Straplocks.
*Original hard case included.
*Royal Velvet (looks purple but is not, the color is kind of dark red)
The sound is killer, the B string is the best period, sounds great even when you slap it, this is the wide model (22.25 mm @ the bridge) and it feels natural, plenty of room for slap, the low end is HUGE and the highs sound as clear as a bell, the harmonics jump out the fretboard, the action is ultra low with zero fretbuzz, the controls are vol/pan/bass/tone and they're super versatile, they say that Modulus basses sound sterile well, not this one, this one sounds very organic (due to the Chechen board I think) list price $4099 plus the upgraded preamp and Chechen board.
Trades, I want a 5 or 6 strings bass of the same caliber, I'd love a Smith plus my cash but I'm open to almost anything.
