Realized I didn't have any pics showing the 'fretlines' of this bass. The way this is setup is pretty cool IMO. It's as if from the player's vantage point you have all the features of a lined fretless, while still having that cool unlined fretboard look out in the audience. They'll never know your secret!!! |

Do you have a payment plan?" |

I'm an artist dammit! I'll roll up to a country audition with this bass, strapped right underneath my chin to look cool AND accommodate my massive belt buckle"
And yes friend, you'd have the capacity to be tasteful and supportive and wanky and obscure as needed. A bunch of tonal arrows in your musical quiver. Just no Marcus sounds I'm afraid. Or are there? Doesn't Marcus kill on Fretless as well?
Yes he does indeed. I remember reading, or maybe I made this up just a few seconds ago, that the design of this bass actually came to Marcus Miller himself in a dream. And that he immediately called George Furlanetto to say...
Marcus: "George, this is Marcus Mutha Frackin Miller and I have an idea. For a bass. Not for me though, for someone else"
George: "What? Who is this? What time is it anyways?!"
Marcus: "It's not important George and there's no time anyhow! I'm faxing you a fully realized design that I just sketched as you were talking. Make it happen man! My will be done!"
George got to work immediately. And you can own the results. |
