Reasonable (I clear over $3k after shipping/fees) offers now considered, especially if inquiry headed by 'Dear Sir' or 'Sorry to be a Bother'. Gentlemanly and what have you.

Realized I didn't have any pics showing the 'fretlines' of this bass. The way this is setup is pretty cool IMO. It's as if from the player's vantage point you have all the features of a lined fretless, while still having that cool unlined fretboard look out in the audience. They'll never know your secret!!!

Slapping some exposed core GHS strings this weekend that will allow for a thicker gauge than the normal 'FBass' (made by Labella) strings that come on these, which are very light gauge to me.

That sounds more like something the folks at Sadowsky would say no?

Well I imagine they'd be a little pissed if I ordered a kind of one-off, unpopular configuration (PBass Body, Modern pickup spacing and 20 frets of unlined ebony) and the told them "sorry fellas, but I just can't seem to sell a first-class FBass on talkbass or Ebay. Do you have a payment plan?"

So, you're off work, maybe had a glass o' Scotch or two. You think to yourself, "frets. who really needs em? I'm an artist dammit! I'll roll up to a country audition with this bass, strapped right underneath my chin to look cool AND accommodate my massive belt buckle"

And yes friend, you'd have the capacity to be tasteful and supportive and wanky and obscure as needed. A bunch of tonal arrows in your musical quiver. Just no Marcus sounds I'm afraid. Or are there? Doesn't Marcus kill on Fretless as well?

Yes he does indeed. I remember reading, or maybe I made this up just a few seconds ago, that the design of this bass actually came to Marcus Miller himself in a dream. And that he immediately called George Furlanetto to say...

Marcus: "George, this is Marcus Mutha Frackin Miller and I have an idea. For a bass. Not for me though, for someone else"

George: "What? Who is this? What time is it anyways?!"

Marcus: "It's not important George and there's no time anyhow! I'm faxing you a fully realized design that I just sketched as you were talking. Make it happen man! My will be done!"

George got to work immediately. And you can own the results.

And by the way your amazing FBass collection is painfully short a fretless 6 string. I know you've considered this before and, well, I know this guy......
