Well, I'm finally going to do it. I've had this bass since I was a Sophomore in High School (2002!). It was one of the earlier basses Matt Schmill made, when he was still in western Mass. Its got a great, small body sized (about the size of a Warwick Thumb). Here are the specs:
-34" scale, Cocobolo fretboard, 4-string fretted
-Bartolini split-coil 9J pickups
-Bartolini NTBT 2-band active EQ
-Active/passive switch
-Volume/Pickup pan/Bass/Treble knobs
-Gotoh 201 bridge, string-thru body, Gotoh tuners
-Matched Black Walnut top on a Poplar core
-5 piece neck-thru-body of maple-purpleheart-maple-purpleheart-maple
I love this bass. Its got a real snappy, punchy tone, great for funk and prog rock, but you can dial in some thump by backing off the treble. I've been playing my fender-style basses almost exclusively for a while now, so I think its time for it to go to a good, loving home! Its all hand-made, and the craftsmanship is top-notch (do a search for FBB or Matt Schmill and you'll read the great reviews of his work!) Its currently strung with Medium-light Hi-beams, which fit its personality well, I think. Here are some older pics of it, before the active/passive switch was installed (by Matt, not me!) Let me know if you have any questions, let me know. I'm not looking for any trades, unless its a Hartke LH500 + cash on your end.
