I will post more photos.

This is a Jazz bass I am playing less and less. I am the 3rd owner of it.

This bass a lot of upgrades:
  • very recent refret (early 2010) and setup by B&D in Phoenix (the best luthier in the Phoenix area, check his reviews)
  • S&D Hot Stack Jazz pickup (bought new, slight wear on the neck pickup due to me playing finger style)
  • new Gotoh bridge
  • new pickguard
  • new control plate
  • new neck plate
  • new assorted 500k pots
  • shielded cavities

Couple things you need to know:

The previous owner(s) gigged it. So did I. It is a great bass. It therefore has natural road wear.

The previous owner had the weird idea of drilling cavities to embed the Dunlop strap locks INSIDE of the body, where they are tightly epoxied. No idea why he did that. It's not a huge issue, except that you are married to the Dunlop system (I can provide the strap mounts if you want). It is not reversible.

The neck is really nice and has a nice curly maple motif.

Asked for price by two people.

I consider its value at around $800.

Cost me $350 originally because the frets were worn out and the hardware was also beat up.

Refret cost me $250. Setup $50.

New hardware and electronics: $350 or about. I did spend more than $800, didn't I?

I could part out the pickups and sell it with the stock pickups.

Have not played this bass in 2 months, now. I hate to see it just sit there.

I am still thinking about selling... maybe
