Not sure I want to let her go, as she's been in my life for so long, but ....

I'm considering selling my Ernie Ball Music Man Sting Ray, natural with maple fretboard, black pick guard, two-band EQ. Sounds great, great playability. Born in '88, I believe (checking on this). Serial no. BO22236

It's not pristine, as I've played it off and on in numerous gig and recording situations. There are several dings and worn places, and one dime-sized chipped spot on the back of the neck (at about the fifth fret). The attached stock pic will give you an idea of how it looked, new.

Asking $1,000, and buyer pays shipping from 33611. Considering trade offers.

according to the MM site, they weight 9lbs, 5 ounces, more or less - http://www.music-man.com/instruments.../stingray.html

I've owned Stingrays from less than 9lbs to 10.5lbs. That 1.5lbs makes a big difference to some of us.

I agree - that's a big difference. I didn't know it varied that much.

I don't know what mine weighs, and I don't have an accurate way to check at the moment. My guess is that it would be on the lighter side or medium range of the 9 to 10.5 lbs. I've picked up basses that are much heavier (like my Telecaster, years ago). Then again, maybe I just got used to the weight.

If I can get more accurate weight info, I'll post it here.
