Feeler: Fodera Imperial II Elite 5 33" Scale
I'm thinking about selling my beautiful Fodera Imperial II Elite custom. Bassic specs are:
walnut burl 2 piece top with matching headstock,
alder tone block,
3 piece hard rock maple neck,
24 fret ebony fingerboard with m.o.p. dot inlays,
Dual action truss rod,
1 3/4" nut,
17.5mm string spacing at bridge,
Fodera Duncan split coil pickups custom wired for inner and outer coils in single coil mode,
Fodera teardrop HSC.
Completion date is 12/26/2012. Bass is in excellent condition as I have been afraid to take it out on gigs.
There is a more complete description available on the Fodera website newborn page not currently available due the new website launch which is not yet complete.
I'm looking to see if there is interest at $8,000+. I have my eye on a new Fodera piece that is considerably more expensive and, unfortunately, I cannot afford to keep both.
PM with questions and thanks for your interest.
I forgot to mention, the B string is extended at the headstock. Currently strung with Fodera RW steels .40-.125.
Wow, gorgeous specs on this one!

Here is the link to the bass on Fodera's newborn page which now appears to be up and running.
That's an amazing deal
on that bass, great price!
Sorry. No trades as the cash, if sold, is to partially fund a new acquisition. But thanks for the offers.
Bump... this bass is being sold for a great price! If I didn't have one on order I would be very interested.
Price drop and free setup if sold this week
I'm willing to sell the bass for $7800 which has already been offered to a prospective buyer. Plus, if I can get the sale done this week, I'll include a free Fodera in shop set up, a $150 value, plus a new set of Fodera SS strings .40-.125 installed. I'll also cover FedEx ground shipping, CONUS only.
The free set up is only for a sale that is paid in full by the end of business on Friday Jan 17.
If the bass isn't sold by Thursday January 23 I'm taking it off the market.
Question - If one wanted to changed the tuning from low E to High C would there be any issues with the extended tuning peg? Can it be done?
You chose a beautiful build!
E-C v. G-B
This was something I discussed with Joey when we first planned the build. He said it would require a new nut, not a big deal, and you would just have a killer E string. So no, I don't think it's a problem but you could check with Fodera to verify.
Truly a once in a lifetime price on this bass, it's a grand cheaper than a new MGS! Just beautiful specs, if I was in the market this would be mine.
Seeing this just helped make my decision as to what model fodera I wish to own someday
