FS trades possible 2009 USA Lakland Duck Dunn

NO LONGER A FEELER, THIS IS FOR SALE OR POSSIBLE TRADE

I am considering (hence feeler) selling this bass, but only if I can get a fair price for it, I am not going to give it away. I custom ordered this bass and it took exactly 1 day shy of a year to get it, I cannot remember the exact year. I think it was ordered in 08 and rec'd in 09 (I was in a car accident last year, it has really jacked up my memory). The bass is pre-Hanson, this much I do know.

This is not the limited edition Teal Green Metallic Skyline (which REALLY TICKED ME OFF when they came out in this color) this is a true USA made Lakland. The bass was special ordered to be as light as possible, it weighs in at around 8 lbs.

The bass is in mint condition rarely played. It was played at Church for one worship service, other than that it was never gigged with, always kept in the case and always wiped down after use. I am not in a hurry to sell this bass, if it sells it sells if not then I will gladly keep it. Carl and I communicated on the build of this bass over the course of that year before he left. When it came to finally assemble it they told me the whole bass assembled weighed less than a loaded USA body. It is a great bass but doesn't get much use, it should be in the hands of someone that will use it. The bass is currently strung with Osborn flats and has had flats on it since day one.

I have priced this bass lower than the Sonic Blue one that was listed for $2850, as for what it sold for I can only assume it was the asking price or very close to.

This is DD #26, I am asking $2600 plus shipping, I will consider offers. If you need more pictures please PM me and I will take some more.

Partial trades I may consider:

Soldano Hot Rod Plus head
Bad Cat 30R
Bogner Uberschall

Any of the above would require cash on your end, how much depends on the item. I will be fair about it.

Thank you, she plays even better than she looks! This is a great bass.

I have too many basses that don't get played so I am going to start thinning the herd.

BUMP:

NO LONGER A FEELER, this is for sale.

Also, I just lowered the price on the bass. This is a rare bass in the sense that there are not very many pre-Hanson USA made Duck Dunn basses out there, and no Hanson Duck Dunns!

I will be listing some more gear in the coming days. Most of what I have for sale will be along the lines of EBMM Sterling, Yamaha Attitude LTD ED, Robin Ranger, and a vintage '66 Fender P-Bass

Wow, beautiful Lakland! Just wondering what you mean by "pre-Hanson". I was under the impression that Lakland created Hanson back in '06 when they introduced their new (at the time) pickups and preamp. Again, sweet bass...

you are right....JP and Bo Pirruccello founded Hanson to supplement the Lakland bass company about that time....I THINK what the OP is referring to is that JP and Bo Pirruccello purchased the company from Dan lakin a couple of years ago....

Correct, and there is no longer a"true" Duck Dunn model. They went to an all numerical naming of the models. Now I think this is the 44-64 Custom. This bass is stamped DD26 as they dropped the endorsement deals from my understanding. A buddy of mine had a deal with them but lost it when Dan sold the company.

Me either! This is a rare opportunity to buy a custom made, light weight Duck Dunn. This bass cost me a small fortune and I am taking a pretty large hit on it compared to the price of a new Lakland 44-64.

This bass has seen minimal playing time and ALWAYS cared for. I do not abuse my gear and always stored in a case. This bass is pretty much NOS, I can't call it that as it is used. The bass may be used but it is MINT.

I just pulled the bass out and played it for a few minutes. I can honestly say if someone doesn't make a serious offer soon this bass is coming off the market. I forgot just how incredible this bass is. It plays so effortlessly...

3 days and counting...once this bass is no longer for sale the thread will be locked. Price drop does not include shipping. I do not overcharge for shipping, you pay what I pay.
