FEELER FS/FT Peavey USA Millennium 5

SOLD - SOLD - SOLD

I've got a Mint, or as near to mint as possible, "Harlequin Violet/Gold" USA Millennium 5 string, 35" scale. It's a Peavey "special order" in that it has the matching headstock and gorgeous Birdseye maple neck and fingerboard with Paua Abalone position markers. Unlike the Plus 5 version this does not have the Hipshot tuners but what they refer to as, "reduced mass enclosed mini machine heads." It also has the Hipshot Quadrajust, adjustable string spacing bridge. The pickups are all original Peavey VFL's and the preamp is the standard 18v, 3 band, with sweepable mids.

The finish on the body and headstock is perfect! Not a scratch, mark or ding anywhere on it. Just some very light pick scratches on the MM p'up. On the back of the neck, on the top half at the 10th and 11th fret are a few very light indentations, which don't show up in a photo (I tried), but can be slightly felt (but not to a degree where it inhibits playability what-so-ever). I'm guessing that another guitar at the store fell onto the back of the neck, with it's neck, string side first. The indentations, being they're at even spacings, seem to be from the strings hitting the neck.

Anyway, I payed $825 total, without a case, for it this past Feb.

I absolutely love this bass! And the tone and playability are unsurpassed by anything in this price-range, IMHO. Why would I consider a trade or sale you ask? Because of the 35" scale. I recently got a Brubaker Brute JJX-5, 34" scale, that I love playing just as much, or maybe even a tad more, and am having just a slight bit of difficulty switching off between the two.

If I decided to sell I think I'd need to get $600 firm (the price of a New Brute MJX-5), $640 with a new GC generic HSC which holds the bass snug-as-a-bug. Plus shipping.

For trades I'm only currently interested in a Brubaker Brute MJX-5, or maybe a Cort Artisan A5. Either in Mint or Near Mint condition.

If it turns out there is no one out there GASing for such a bass as this . . . no problem. I'll be happy to hang on to it.

Anyway, PM me with any ?'s, offers, trade offers, etc. . . .

Pix:

I'm all set for basses but that thing is sharp! And the string tree across all 5 strings is an idea that a lot of other makers could get down with as well!

Sun afternoon Bump.

Changed up the price a bit, dropped it $100 to match the price to acquire a new Brute MJX-5.
