Feeler FS: NEAR MINT 1991 Rickenbacker 4003 midnight blue

Hey folks, really can't believe i'm doing this but just to test the waters, up for sale is my recently acquired (and i mean RECENT, a few days ago) Rickenbacker 4003 in midnight blue/black hardware & binding. This bass has amazing tone and playability, and this finish is nearly impossible to find in this condition. I bought it from a guy who basically had it as a collector's item for all that time, stored in a case and taken out periodically to wipe clean. The serial number dates it as being made in December of 1991, according to Ric's website.

So the big question: why am I selling? Main reason is that I bought this about 2 months ago, but it took almost 7 weeks to arrive do to a screw-up with USPS and during that time I fell ill and found out I have a heart condition AND high blood pressure

so needless to say I need the money, but also because I have a Sadowsky NYC on order that's about to be completed and due to medical bills, I'm a little short on the money for that. I've already sold my Fender 62' Re-issue P-Bass, and this is one of the last two basses I have left. Sorry for the sob (and long story) but just explaining the seemingly fishy situation.

Depends on the trade. I might be willing to trade for a decent (i.e. not boutique) fretless and cash...but emphasis on the cash cause I got bills to pay

...i.e. the value of the bass and the cash should add up to around $2000 minimum

absolutely freakin' gorgeous!! I think some people would like to see more pics of the back of the bass though, as far as any buckle rash...etc, if any. If the back is as clean as the front then this is a beautiful bass. Well it is anyway...lol.
