I have wanted one of these basses since as far back as I can remember! They were rated super-high in reviews, they are like a SUPER Jazz, made in the US, and really not expensive. So when the opportunity arose to buy one recently, I jumped on it and bought this and haven't regretted it ONE BIT!!!
That said, I purchased the bass to replace another bass which was my "experiment in tone". And that bass was fun for the fact that I didn't give a flying farg how I drilled into it or cut it up for the sake of upgrades. And I was thinking of doing that to this...
But I can't, in good conscience, do that to this bass. It's a beautiful work of art, a rare beast, and something that is REALLY NICE as it stands. I just feel the urge to experiment and this bass doesn't deserve that kind of treatment, so I'm putting out the feeler!
1995 Hamer Cruise Bass 5 w/ 2Tek bridge
Asymetrical neck, jumbo frets
SD Basslines single coil pickups, passive
VVT controls
Schaller tuners
2Tek bridge (awesome! In function and mass!), 17mm spacing
Ken Smith Tapercore strings (old set of D'Addarios included as well!)
10.8 lbs (2.4 is the bridge alone!!!)

The bass is in PHENOMENAL condition, there's no signs of use that will show up in pictures, that's for sure! There's minor swirling and such, but no damage. For 16 years old, it's stunning! I purchased this from fellow TB'er Zuma and he took really good care of it. In all honesty, I wouldn't be sad to hold onto this, but I wanted to at least put the feelers out before putting any plans into action for upgrades.

NO TRADES!!! I just pulled a trigger, so it's sale only.
