Feeler for rare Japanese bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Its a Riverhead Jupiter, black..near mint, hugely oversized original case. Case has an extra set of pickups in it as well. Can't find any info on the value. I think I overpaid(Bad trade) so I am going to see if its worth 600$ shipped. I am probably way off as I have a feeling nobody is gonna pay this much. It is a really great bass. I'll keep it rather than lose a bunch of cash. Active pre with 4 band EQ. Probably not even worth posting pics at this price. But..you never know. I could take some pics if there is any interest but I think this thread will die a quick death.
Cheers!

Thanks..my camera is pretty crappy, but I'm not just making it up for the heck of it. It is in really really good shape. If you look closely, there are fine scratches, more like swirls and a couple of little divots by the bridge that seem like small factory imperfections. Black is hard to photo. The pickups are K&M and the lettering is a bit worn, but it comes with an extra set

hey man , you never know who wants one of these . and will pay a good penny for it . i think what hurts it is the ns2a older neck through japaneese spectors are lower than what you are wanting for yours . although your bass is way more rare .

Oh well..I traded a 750$ vintage Gibson for it. really dumb move, but I really wanted something active. I'm not desperate to sell it, just putting out some feelers. If any one is serious, I will try to take some good picture and send them via e-mail.
This bass can do pretty much any sound you want, I just never play it anymore since i got my Mustang bass.

Bump- I would trade for a Fender Musicmaster bass or guitar, or a Mustang bass..re-issue or older beat up one.

I meant not a neck thru..it is a bolt on.
Would also trade for a nice lightweight bass amp. Or trade it for a blackface champ or maybe a blues junior.
Any small tube amp equal value will do.
