Feeler: Sadowsky RV-4 Lake Placid Blue

Thinking about selling my RV-4.

I like it a lot and am not super anxious to sell, but I've been on a little bit of a buying spree and need to cull the herd a bit.

I got this bass from another TB'er a while back. Here is the original post, with pics and detailed description:

Sadowsky RV-4 Lake Placid Blue Excellent Shape

It is in the same shape as I received it. I changed the strings, set it up to my liking (super easy to set up, BTW), and have played a few shows and rehearsals with it, but that's it.

Comes with everything in the original description, including Sadowsky case.

I can provide additional info and up-to-date pics if there is interest.

I paid $1600 for this bass and will let it go for the same, plus shipping. I think that is a pretty fair price and I am not desperate to sell, so I'm firm -- lowballs will be ignored.

I might consider a trade, so feel free to offer, but I'm not really looking for anything in particular. Maybe a Mesa Walkabout or a cheaper fretless plus some cash.

Thanks for looking.

This is my old bass. (I bought it new from Bass Central and sold it to the guy who sold it to Top Ten.) She's a real sweetie both in sound and looks.

Thanks and agreed -- this is a very nice bass!

Also, Soxhats confirmed that the p/u's in this bass are the hum cancelling, for those who are interested in such things.

"Confederacy of Dunces" by John Kennedy Toole. I envy you -- I wish I had never read it so that I could enjoy it again for the first time. Definitely check it out!

While this bass apparently needs no bumping at this point, I'll give one for one of my favorite books.

Deal fell through, back on the market.

On close inspection, I noticed a couple of small dings that are not apparent in the pics in the original post, so I will post pics of those later today (or, if you are interested, send me a PM and I'll forward the pics).

Do you know the year of manufacture? Does it have VTC?

Original owner here. I bought it new from Bass Central in December 2009. It has the VTC.

Here are a few more pics of the Sadowsky. The ones in the original post are better, but these show a couple of additional little dings. Nothing serious, just for purposes of full disclosure.

I'm looking at a few interesting trade offers but the Sadowsky is still available for now.

Thanks for looking.

Apologies to anyone who has PM'd and not yet rec'd a reply. I've been sorting through a few different trade offers and have not had a chance to reply to everyone who has PM'd me yet. I will try to do so today.

As of now, the Sadowsky is still available.

Thanks.
