Early 1971 Univox Badazz - a Japanese copy of the Guild S-100.
Has the nicks and dings you might expect from a bass that's 42 years old. All electronics work as they should. Some scratchyness in the pots. I have flatwounds on it for a nice woody tone. Really cool hard to find bass. There's another bass I'm jonesin' for here so I'm see what kind of scratch I can muster. The pickguard looks like someone had a sticker or glue on it. I believe everything is original. More pix upon request. No case but it will be packed well.
from Univox.org:
Univox guitars were built by the Matsumoko guitar factory in Japan, which were OEM suppliers to Aria, Westbury, Westone, Epiphone, Fender Japan and several other brands at the time.
It has a bolt on neck w/ Gibson style head, 20-fret rosewood fretboard, two humbuckers, similar vibrato as early Guilds, pickups were somewhat microphonish and high output.
