Feeler: Yamaha John Patitucci TRB-JP

Feeler for a beautiful Yamaha TRB JP signature series bass. Extremely fat sounding. This is the earlier version with the 34" scale.

This bass sounds amazing and I'm really not sure I want to sell, hence the "feeler." Beautiful flame as you can see in the pics. The bass has two minor cosmetic issues, here is description I got from the previous owner:
"I purchased this bass from someone who apparently had some protrusion sticking out of the bottom inside of their case and it made some tiny holes on the underside, below the EQ area (picture below). The other cosmetic thing with this bass is some cracking in the neck, which has been there forever (pic below). This bass has an ebony fingerboard which is extremely dense and it has a crack that starts at the bottom of the neck. I've had this repaired with ebony dust 3 years ago and seems to have opened again. It never moves though, it's honestly been this way since I bought it. The ebony is so dense that it just stays where it is and doesn't effect the tone/playability or anything."
These usually go for $1700-$1800 used, but because of these cosmetic issues I'm asking a very reasonable $1300 plus shipping. No trades. Includes a fairly beat-up SKB case for shipping.

PM with any questions. Thanks!

As the previous owner says it has apparently never moved. When you see it up close it's really not that noticeable...really more of a cosmetic issue.
