Fender '57 RI American Vintage-2 color Sunburst-I ship anywhere

1957 Fender Reissue P bass. Made in Corona California . The neck and the 2 color sunburst body are finished in nitro. I have owned a trans white version of this bass and have to say I prefer this bass over the last one I had. This one is lighter ( I don’t have a scale) and also finished better from the factory. There is no huge gaps in the neck pocket, no weird globs on paint , its really a flawless looking execution by Fender. The bass features the original case and the original case candy. It maybe hard to see in the photo but both covers are included, the bass has never had holes drilled for them. There is a owners manual, a strap that never has been used and also keys to the case. The case is made by G&G and is in perfect shape. The bass has low action and virtually no wear. The bass looks unused and may have only seen a few hours of play by the previous owner. There are 3 things to note, 2 very small chips I point out in the photos. There tiny and not very visible but there. The E string tuner has a slight bend, I didn’t notice tell I tuned up and felt it was slightly bent in the clover region.

I am pricing this competitively for the holiday season, however my price is firm. Fender is no longer making these and the new line is expected to be around $2,000 new. if I cant get my asking price I will wait untill the new basses are released and I bet it will easily sell for this.

$1050 OBO shipped CONUS,other countries available with exceptions.

I'll gladly take this off your hands if it's here in a few weeks...I don't think that'll happen though.

I am not sure , I ran the serial number and it gave me nothing, I think I would have to pull the neck to see.

The bent tuner frequently happens with this style of tuner.
It is easily fixed using a soft rag and pliers, gently bending it back to position.
My Jaco Signature as well as my '62 AVRI Jazz had the same exact bend. Both easily fixed!

I wish I'd seen this before I ordered mine new. I paid nearly double this price (aussie dollars) for the exact same bass. Someone will get a bargain!

It is indeed a bargin and I am asking OBO , i leave for 2 weeks saturday for business. If someone wants it they should act within the next 45 hours so I can get it shipped before I leave, I am making double time during this trip and thus may keep this upon return.

I must admit that this is really tempting. I owned one of these a few years back and it was by far the nicest P Bass I have every had the pleasure to play. Very high quality build with great looks and killer tone. It's the whole package!
