Well here it is , one of the mist underrated fender basses, seriously why dont more people talk about these? This is John paul jones, noel redding and jaco (if you defret and ditch the gaurd) look, whats not to love? tiny vintage frets and a smooth fast neck makes walking bass lines cake.
799.99$ new here is the link http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend....ass?sku=502778
My basses get love not abuse , as you can see its not perfect but its not abused, its also 300$ off a new price.
Drool over AV reissues? well here is something pretty damn close for a 1/3 the price.
Gig bag included, tracking info provided , shipping included in price, I also insure fo the full value. If your out of town the xmas, i can hold if you pay just give me a date you want it shipped. Once you pay its yours and i respect that , it wont be played further. Condition
There is the chip on the back, the ding shown on the front, other small tiny dings, the small dent in the fretboard at the 2nd fret, and a small nick on the stock.
Previous owner loved jaco so the pickguard was removed and 3 pickguards were lost in the process. The gaurd is on but like i said 3 screws are gone.
480$ shipped CONUS
me trying to shows the ding on the top of the rosewood board next to the fret , 2nd fret

dropped the price to 480$ , this is a nice bass if you can live with a tiny bit of MOJO.
I need to be paid in a way that totally avoids fees on my end , see my feedback if your worried about that

I am in no rush to sell it now , but if i get the asking price its sold. |

I have the twin to this bass ... at one time I had 4 Fender Jazz basses in the house, a 2001 American Series nat/maple, a 97 American Standard burst/RW, a Hwy 1 (2004 early version) burst/RW, and my Classic Series 60's Jazz that is the twin to this ... I sold EVERYTHING, and kept the Classic Series 60's ... I owned a '66 Jazz that I sold in '72 when I went into the service , it would easily sell today for over $8,000 ... my CLASSIC SERIES 60' JAZZ looks and plays EVERY BIT AS GOOD as that did, right down to the 7 1/4'" neck radius, vintage fret wire, threaded saddles and reverse tuners ... this is one of THE most underrated Jazz basses out there, and the 50's P from the Classic series is the most underrated P out there ... this bass is like money in the bank, the bodies alone have sold on ebay for close to $400!! ...

Ok as tjh has said these and the 50s P bass are highly underrated people still feel MIM cant make nice basses, there loss.
Gordoh- right now I am literally up to my neck in basses and need to clear at least 1000$ for next term before trades can take place, i love that t 45 though.
Luckie-Thanks! its poly but very THIN, i can tell by the chip on the back this is some very thin poly ,perhaps thinner then the new 08 american fender finishes, its not super thick like the standard MIM's
JeffJones- The bass does have reverse tuners, its very correct looking for a 60s J bass, of course not an identical copy but close. |

gorgeous looks! | Thanks! your a far better photo taker then I.
Also for a limited time I am willing to throw in a badass II bridge for extra $ , this is brandnew and is the pre grooved factory one , these fetch about 100$ on ebay - I will throw this on the bass for 550$ Shipped If you choose this deal I will installed it and clean and oil the fretboard as i do that everytime strings are taken off one of my basses, I will be keeping the stock bridge if you choose to take this deal , but an extra 70$ for a new pre grooved badass II is a steal,if your into them
Happy holidays. |
