Fender '62 Reissue Jazz Bass-AV-USA-$975

I bought this bass from the original owner. The story goes that he bought it new in 2002. He had a accident in 2001 in which a camper trailer actually fell on him. This resulted in him spending a year recovering. Once he was back on his feet his back couldnt handle the weight of his t bird so he went to Guitar center in Portland Oregon and bought this due to its weight. Its light, but I have no idea how much, under 9 pounds.

The bass is in good shape. There is some light clear coat dings on the body and very minor marks on the neck. The body has some swirling on the back and the nitro has an impression by the neckplate. All pretty standard for a 10+ year old nitro bass. The neck is very clean on the back with only one small ding , I am very particular about having a clean neck. The frets are in beautiful shape and the grain of the fretboard is beautiful as shown below in pics. The headstock on the front and back has minor finish checking that comes with age of these nitro finished basses. The neck date is Feb 2000 and the body date is December 1999.I would say its a 8 out of 10. The bass is all original and features the original case. It has schaller strap locks that will be included, i do not have the original buttons. The case is in pretty good shape, a few marks as it is a case that was used but nothing drastic. The case includes the original key. I dont have any of the case candy it came with stock, no covers, it was never drilled for any. No paperwork etc.

The bass plays great and truly is a joy to play. It has rounds right now and is set up with medium action. The bass has a standard 1.5'' nut width with vintage style frets. Its a breeze to play.

$975 Firm Shipped CONUS-I a white guard fro a geddy lee that fits perfectly, I can install that and keep the tort guard and I will drop the price by $35 to $940 shipped.

Better pics as promised, the headstock on the front and back has some finish checking I couldnt get to show up in pics, it is there though. The nitro on these tends to check with age and is seen as normal

stuff in case not included, sale includes, bass, schaller strap locks, key and case.

Case has a little wear on it, not much though.

This is the "Sunday-evening-I-can't-believe-someone-hasn't-already-bought-this-bass" bump.

Incredible deal, I wish I needed another Jazz...
