"Fender" 74' reissue Jazz Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
I wanted to get a Fender 70's style (75 reissue) J bass but i wasn't very happy with the ones I tried so i decided to make my own, except a 4 bolt like a 74' and with higher quality parts. While I was getting this built, I lucked upon a very happening all original.'78 so I kinda don't need this one anymore. It is BRAND NEW and still has the plastic on the pickups, tuners and pickguard.
Here's the details:

Very nice grained Ash body in natural NITRO laquer
One piece maple neck with pearl blocks and binding (era correct decal)
Nordstrand NJ4 70's wind pickups
Audere 2 band pre ( vol, vol, treble bass) w/ battery box
Hipshot style B bridge and Hipshot vintage style tuners
black pickguard (i didn't install it 'cause the body turned out so nice....I'll leave that up to the new owner to decide!)

$800 usd + shipping

I don't have a case specific for that bass but I can either throw in a Levys gig bag (cordura & leather) or sell you a new Mono M80 bag at cost (can't post that price) if you want an awesome new case.

the body (beautiful piece of ash) was made by Bernie Hefner in California, the neck is a very nice AllParts Japan. The Nitro finish was done here by a friend who is a professional refinisher. The Nitro finish takes months to get done properly!

i'm not really looking for trades, just trying to raise some $$$. The only exception being a Lull P5 with a maple board or Nordy VP5 (not much chance as they are just released at NAMM!!)
