Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass (CIJ)

Sign in to disble this ad
Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass, Crafted In Japan. Beautiful ivory binding & matching headstock. Really nice condition with just a couple of nearly invisible very tiny nicks on the front and a few on the backside. Plays like a dream with a 1 1/2" thin Jazz Bass rosewood neck...VERY low easy action. Brand new $119 BadAss II Bridge was just professionally installed and set up by my tech before Christmas. Stratocaster-style top mounted input jack. Smoked chrome hardware. Has passive P&J pickups for nearly unlimited tonal options. This bass sounds HUGE!! I used this one for the past few years, before I got my teal green Geddy Lee.

Weight is actually less than 8 pounds!!

Original manuals, adjusting tools, etc are included

Buy with Hardshell case for $550 or w/Fender gig bag for $500 + shipping.

Trades? Maybe..depending on whatchagot!!

Apologies in advance for what may be a dumb question. I've never played a bass with after-market inlay stickers. I like the look. Anything one would need to know about the stickers? Do you feel them when you play? Any danger of the stickers unsticking?

Nope...can't feel them when you play...you don't even know they are there!! They will stay on unil you take them off....with no damage or residue, really pretty kool material.

hey man no worries, this bass is a rock'n'roll machine they cut through the mix and sound so good its ridiculous. I have a question does the bass come with the upgraded pickups in the picture or is it turned back to stock, or are they just covers?

Duff-man.......it will come with the upgraded pups. They are EMG-PHZ's and were just installed late last year at the same time my tech installed the new BadAss II. The original pups were pretty much just Fender "standard fare" but the EMG's really bring this thing to life. They are MUCH hotter and have very extended bottom and highs. IMO...this is what the Aerodynes should have come with from the factory. It actually sounds like a combination of a Geddy Lee and a Precision in one bass. The tone is unreal with BOTH pups on.

aerodyne jazz

does this aerodyne jazz share most of the original jazz characteristics (within reason)?I like the neck of a jazz but the sound of a precision and jazz. That's kind of what I'm looking for. Jeff
