Fender AJB-M 32" Aero Jazz Non Export
I hate to do this but I decided to sell my Aero.
I just can not play it anymore because my hands are going and I need big chunky necks or my 5 string.
If you like thin, narrow necks you will love this, imagine a 32" Geddy Lee neck.
It is the best sounding Jazz I have ever owned. With the same strings, pick ups & pots it sounds much better than my hand stained ash MIA.
The quality of these CIJ Fenders is superb. It has the tightest neck pocket of any Fender I have owned. In five Minnesota summers and winters the fret's have never sprouted, the edge of the fret board feels as smooth as new. The neck is very stable and takes less adjustment than most of my basses.
It has had the same set of LaBella 760FS-M .045 .065 .085 .105 on it for the past four years (just breaking in) and Chromes before that. Fret's are excellent and shiny.
The curved basswood body's on these cause some problems with the pick guard and control plate. I installed threaded inserts and machine screws in the straploks and control plate. I drilled out and installed hardwood dowels in all the pick guard screws.
Black basses are hard to photograph. It has some swirls and light scratches. The biggest one is behind the E string ball. It has no buckle rash, dents or paint lifting. The binding is smooth and tight and starting to age a little.
This is a black bass that has been played

I guess I should add that this bass has been around smoky practice areas. I just disassembled it and polished everything. It smells like Meguiar's polish to me but I know some people are sensitive to the smell. The gig bag has been in my storage area and should be fine but I shot it with some Febreze to be sure.
You can see the smaller size next to a 34" Jazz
Damn, that's a fine looking bass!
Round of the paws for that one.
Always wanted one of these.. Looks great with the pickguard.. Good luck.
Yeah the pick guard looks really great!!!! GLWTS
Monday morning bump
Not in a position to get this one but really love the look and the 32" scale, bet it sounds great. Maybe one day, GLWS.
I would so like to try one of these 32" MIJs but the timing is just not right to buy outright.
Beautiful bass with just the right upgrades. GLWTS!
Christmas Eve bump
Beautiful! I've been looking into importing one of these/buying one on ebay as a backup bass. If this is still around when I sell my Guild, I'm all over it!
It took me forever to figure out how to use a Jazz bass because I could not read the manual first. :D
Saturday morning bump
Any sound clips??
PM? Yep, I sure did.

This bass deserves another bump.
Fender Japan would make a killing doing these in a P as well.
And it's sold!
Boxed, tagged and ready to get on the truck for the Golden State tomorrow.
