Anyone ever wonder what a modern Precision bass would sound like, this is it.
$1100 shipped within North America, no shipping outside North America. Comes with Fender molded hard case and all case candy. Trade interest limited to US Laklands, Mike Lulls, and Metro Sadowskys (other that those will be ignored).
Bought this recently from a friend, who made all of the following modifications:
Take a regular American Standard Precision.
Upgrade the pickups to Delano single pole split-coil pickups
Add the fantastic East P-retro Preamp
Swap out the Precision neck for American jazz neck.
Add matte black pickguard, stealthy bridge and matching Dunlop strap locks.
Add EB Cobalt strings
And what you have is one kick-ass P-bass.
Great condition, 9.5/10, no noticeable dings, just some finish swirling/player wear. Average weight for a P-bass, I'd say between 9 and 9.5 lbs.
Tone is amazing. Passive is great, pull up the front pup and you get a very clear but stronger active tone, pull up the back pup and you get earth quaking low boost, really great for aggressive music styles. Would love to keep it, but have something inbound (new build Lull) that I know I will love even more.
Here are some pics:
better shot of the matte pickguard
yes, it's got a American Std Jazz neck on it. (1.5")
