fender american deluxe maple neck...new

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought this bass new from Bass Central. I have played it only
a few hours and put it back in the case. Its a great bass but
I am not a jazz bass player. I like my Warwicks.

It was a custom order to get the maple neck. This bass is really
brand new in terms of being played. I put a bad ass bridge on it
as an extra. list 2400.00 . Street price 1600.00

Asking 1000.00. I can't say its brand new, because obviously I played
it, but it has less hours on it than a demo in a store. its a great
deal for someone loving fender jazz bass'.

This premium ash-bodied J Bass represents the production Fender instrument at its very A top-of-the-line production Jazz Bass with the latest best. It's beautifully crafted and finished and features great hardware and electronics. Equipped with Lite-Bass tuners, a deluxe chromeplated bridge that allows both string-thru or top-loading, and 2 dual-coil Samarium Cobalt Noiseless Jazz pickups. It also has 3-band active EQ with master volume and a pan pot for pickup blending.
Fender American Deluxe Ash Jazz Bass Features:
• Premium ash body
• Graphite-reinforced maple neck with modern C shape and a satin polyurethane finish
• Rosewood or maple fingerboard
• 9-1/2" radius
• 22 medium-jumbo frets
• Chromeplated hardware
• Deluxe bridge that allows either string-thru or top loading
• Chromeplated brass bridge saddles
• Lite-Bass tuners
• 2 dual-coil Samarium Cobalt Noiseless Jazz pickups
• Master volume and pan pot for pickup switching
• 3-band active EQ

yeah, I put on a bad ass bridge. They come pre drilled so no
holes were made. Still have the original, but the bad ass bridge
really does make a huge difference, imo , for the better.

Did you have to shim the neck when you installed the Badass Bridge? Did you put a groove in the saddles? Great looking bass. I am playing a MIM model of this bass. Do you know how they compare? I haven't had a chance to check out the American Deluxe. Thanks for your time...Art

I put a badass III on both of my 1997 Fender Jazz Deluxe basses (USA), they do make a difference and no shim in the neck and bridge saddles are already factory grooved. Bump for a great bass.
