Fender American Jazz Deluxe

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD! SOLD! SOLD! SOLD

1997 USA / MIA Fender Jazz Deluxe

Beautiful sunburst, light colored rosewood fretboard (light brown instead of dark black).

I believe Suhr 4-pole pickups and active preamp with 3 band EQ. Volume, blend, stacked treble/bass, and separate mid. Currently strung with ProSteels.

Normal player wear - a variety of minor dings, couple of small thru-surface dings on each horn, couple of very minor dents on the neck, all normal wear but nothing major or unusual for an instrument of this age. Most notable is that the pick guard has been professionally cut back away from the neck. If you don't like how that looks, pickguards are inexpensive and easy to replace if desired and available in tons of finishes from white, to black, tort, sparkle, flags, skull-n-bones, and on and on.

Comes with vintage 1970's non-Fender hard shell case, minor wear, totally usable, though could use some Fe-breeze inside.

SALE: $750 OBO shipped FedEx in CONUS. PayPal preferred.

TRADE: For/towards a Precision style 4 string with pick guard. Or a lined 4 string fretless of some sort. Or a tube preamp/full amp.

LINK TO 17MB HI-RES PHOTOS HERE. Taken in full sunlight, no flash. Note the chips pictured are on the horns of the bass and are SMALL. They look worse in the photos due to them being a high rez macro closeup. Note the size of the strap button and how it dwarfs the size of the chip just to put things into perspective. The instrument is in really great condition considering it's 13 years old.

I have a 1998 Fender Precision with EMG P&J and a EMG BTC preamp I would consider trading. The bass is black with a Black (B-W-B 3 ply) pickguard. I love the bass so I would really have to think about it if you were interested.

I'm not usually a big EMG fan, and I generally prefer passive. But shoot me some photos.
