Fender American Standard Precision 5 string Bass....SOLD

Selling my Fender American Standard Precision 5 string bass. The mighty sound of the P-bass with the added depth of the B string. You can't mistake the thick authority of the P-bass and this rare model is no longer made. I am selling mine for $875 with a padded gig bag for a quick sale. (too many basses or else I would keep this)
Sunburst with rosewood neck, it is a total classic. The American made model features a HM (high mass) bridge for more sustain and is absolute top level build and finish.
I currently have "LaBella Jamerson Flat wound" strings on it. Capture all of the 60's-70's vibe of Motown. . ..but the 5 string lets you groove " LOWER". Plays great with no issues. Looks as close to "new" as you will find and has only the very slightest of any surface marks ( nothing at all visible from more than inches away).

Serial number seems to indicate a 2007. The Fender selling points of this model include the HMV (high mass bridge) and a thinner coat over the body to let the wood vibrate more easily.

Fender still shows the P5 on they're website. Can anyone confirm that the P5 is indeed dis-continued?

I stand corrected (or in my case, I sit corrected). Just checked online and do see that you can still buy them. A buddy told me that they were no longer available. What a shame....you can not trust your friends any longer

Just got one o these things. I couldn't believe the response on the low B. great bass.

Fender does not actually state NITRO for the finish, but they claim that a thinner coat is used to allow the wood to breathe and vibrate. You can certainly see the wood more clearly through the finish than my other P Bass. The low B is great on this bass.

For those that have asked, it weights 8.7 on my digital bathroom scale. (subtractive method) Light weight for a 5 string !
