Fender Blacktop Jazz Bass

In my continuing gear sell off, I am offering up a great looking, sounding and playing Fender Blacktop Jazz Bass. This bass is in excellent shape and weighs 9lbs even (which is really light for this line). I replaced the stock electronics with 3 250K CTS pots, an Orange Drop .047 cap and a Switchcraft jack. It is strung with fresh D'Addario Chromes and features a great looking chrome pickup cover. It also has Dunlop Dual Design strap buttons. The original electronics will ship with the bass. It will ship in a gig bag for $400 in the CONUS.

A bold new interpretation of the venerable Jazz Bass with phenomenal Blacktop power!
In one of the most distinctive iterations of this legendary instrument ever designed, Fender now introduces the Blacktop Jazz Bass.

Sleek and supercharged, the Blacktop Jazz Bass features dual Blacktop split-coil Precision Bass® pickups that pack a powerful one-two tonal punch. Other distinctive touches are three Jazz Bass control knobs (volume for each pickup and master tone) and a Blacktop HiMass bridge. Features include an alder body, maple neck with modern C shape and gloss urethane finish, rosewood fretboard with 9.5” radius and 20 medium jumbo frets, three-ply black-white-black pickguard, open-gear tuners and chrome hardware.
Features
Alder Jazz Bass body
Maple C shape neck
Rosewood fretboard
20 medium jumbo frets
Blacktop Split Single-Coil Precision Bass pickups
Blacktop 4-saddle adjustable HiMass bridge

Oh no! I love my blacktop Jazz, and have done the same electronics mods to mine. It really opens up the bass.
Sorry you have to sell, such a sweet bass.

Good luck, and this is a great bass at a great price!
Chris

Yes its still the stock pickups. The new pots and caps did warm up the tone and got rid of the ganky upper mid clank that was present. The result is a warm full range tone.

I have a pearl white blacktop and made the same mods
to it. Definitely better sound. Did the same to my Aerodyne with the same results.

This is a great buy, people. Gorgeous bass.

Thanks THORRR, it's a good one.

I have a deal pending but I haven't received payment yet so the bass is still for sale.
