Fender CIJ '75 RI Jazz old candy apple red w/Nordstand

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a CIJ Fender '75 RI jazz that I bought here on TB. Fender Japan calls the color (OCR) old candy apple red. A previous owner replaced the pickups with Nordstrand NJ4 singel coils. They sound great!!!! A previous owner also knocked down the high gloss on the back of the neck down to a super smooth satin finsh. After I bought it, I replaced the stock tuners with a set of "Fender" stamped Schaller tuners....the same ones that come on the US '75 RI. I didn't have the chrome bridge cover on in the pics but it does come with both the neck pickup and bridge covers. There are some scratches in the clearcoat near the output jack, both strap buttons and on the face near the pickguard (see picture with green arrows where I tried to show the ones that actually show up in the pics). They are all fairly deep in the clearcoat but they do not show up in pics very well. You really don't notice them unless you are right up on the bass. Other than that, the bass is in great shape. Comes with Fender deluxe gig bag.

I am looking for $775 shipped to lower 48 US. Paypal or money order.

Craig

Sorry. I forgot to mention anything about that in the ad. I am not looking for any trades right now.

Killer axe!! Wish I needed another Jazz.

WOW! I have been looking for a Fender RI Jazz Japan\American. Too bad it wasn't Lake Placid blue. I would have bought it instantly!

Too bad no one has bought my fretless Stammie or(as-yet-to-be-listed-for-lack-of-pictures)73 Precision or I'd be all over this one.
Want, want, want...

Yeah, it is in the 60's position. Every MIJ/CIJ '75RI Jazz is like this. As far as I know, the Geddy Lee is the only Fender Japan jazz bass with the 70's pickup spacing (except for the picture used in all Fender advertising. What's up with that???).

I have the same bass in teal with overwound Lindy Fralin pups. This bass sings, probably even more with the Nordstrands!

These babies have very comfy necks.

Actually the Geddy and the Marcus Miller Bass are 70's position and MIJ/CIJ

Just FYI
